Although he fought for democracy for many years, a significant portion of Raila’s life revolved around forming alliances for the sake of shared power. He often chose the side that granted him the most political influence instead of standing with the people.
Most recently, Raila’s support for President Ruto clearly showed that he was indifferent to the abductions and murders of Kenyans under the Ruto administration.
As we move forward, it is crucial that we demand a high moral standard from our politicians due to the considerable influence they wield.
