T he Atheists In Kenya Society is deeply concerned about the growing trend of religious institutions accepting financial contributions directly from President William Ruto. While places of worship are meant to serve as sanctuaries of faith, morality, and impartiality, the acceptance of such funds risks compromising their independence and credibility.
We call upon Kenyans of conscience to shun churches that receive money from the President, as these actions blur the line between faith and politics, erode public trust, and undermine the moral authority of religious institutions. True worship must remain free from political influence and financial inducements.
We urge all Kenyan citizens to support churches that uphold integrity, transparency, and independence, and to reject those that allow themselves to be used as instruments of political patronage. Our collective voice can safeguard the sanctity of faith and ensure that religious spaces remain dedicated to spiritual nourishment rather than political gain.
