1. Eligibility

1.1 Membership in the Atheists In Kenya Society is open only to Kenyan citizens who are eighteen (18) years of age or older.

1.2 Applicants may be required to provide proof of age and Kenyan citizenship before membership is approved.

1.3 The Society reserves the right to reject any application that does not meet the eligibility requirements.

2. Acceptance of Membership

2.1 By applying for membership, an applicant confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these Terms and Conditions, the Society’s Constitution, and any policies adopted by the Society from time to time.

2.2 Membership shall become effective only after approval by the Society and payment of any applicable membership fees.

3. Membership Fees

3.1 Members shall pay such registration fees, subscriptions, or other charges as may be determined by the Society.

3.2 Failure to pay required fees within the stipulated period may result in suspension or termination of membership privileges.

3.3 Membership fees are generally non-refundable unless otherwise determined by the Society.

4. Member Conduct

4.1 Members shall treat fellow members with dignity, respect, and courtesy.

4.2 Members shall not engage in harassment, discrimination, intimidation, threats, hate speech, or any conduct that undermines the objectives of the Society.

4.3 Members shall not use Society platforms, events, or communication channels to promote violence, illegal activities, or activities that may expose the Society to legal liability.

4.4 Members shall comply with all applicable laws of Kenya.

5. Participation in Society Activities

5.1 Members may participate in meetings, discussions, events, campaigns, and other activities organized by the Society.

5.2 Participation in Society activities is voluntary and at the member’s own risk.

5.3 The Society reserves the right to establish rules and guidelines governing participation in specific events and activities.

6. Privacy and Data Protection

6.1 Members consent to the collection, storage, and processing of personal information for legitimate Society purposes, including communication, administration, and membership management.

6.2 The Society shall take reasonable measures to protect members’ personal information in accordance with applicable Kenyan laws.

6.3 The Society shall not disclose members’ personal information to third parties except where required by law or with the member’s consent.

7. Use of Society Platforms

7.1 Members using Society WhatsApp groups, social media platforms, forums, or other communication channels shall adhere to established group rules.

7.2 The Society may remove content or restrict access to any member who violates these Terms and Conditions.

8. Suspension and Termination

8.1 The Society may suspend or terminate membership where a member:

* Violates these Terms and Conditions;
* Engages in conduct detrimental to the Society;
* Fails to pay required fees;
* Provides false or misleading information during the membership process.

8.2 A member may resign from the Society at any time by providing written notice.

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 Publications, logos, branding materials, and other intellectual property belonging to the Society shall not be used without authorization.

9.2 Members may not represent themselves as official spokespersons of the Society unless expressly authorized.

10. Limitation of Liability

10.1 The Society shall not be liable for any personal loss, injury, damage, or expense arising from participation in Society activities, except where liability cannot be excluded under Kenyan law.

10.2 Members participate in Society activities at their own discretion and responsibility.

11. Amendments

11.1 The Society reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time.

11.2 Members shall be notified of significant amendments through appropriate communication channels.

12. Governing Law

12.1 These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya.

13. Acceptance

By applying for or maintaining membership in the Atheists In Kenya Society, the member confirms that they:

* Are a Kenyan citizen aged 18 years or older;
* Have read and understood these Terms and Conditions;
* Agree to comply with the Society’s Constitution, policies, and rules;
* Support the lawful objectives of the Atheists In Kenya Society.
