Who We Are
The Atheists In Kenya Society is a legally registered organization committed to promoting equality, dignity, and recognition for atheists and other non‑religious individuals across Kenya. As a progressive voice for secular communities, we work tirelessly to safeguard the rights of nonbelievers, challenge discrimination, and foster a culture of respect and inclusion.
Through advocacy, public education, and vibrant community‑building initiatives, we empower non‑religious people to live authentically, engage confidently in society, and contribute meaningfully to national conversations on freedom of belief and human rights.
We are an associate member of Humanists International, the global representative body at the heart of the humanist movement.

Our mission is to protect civil rights, advance political equality, achieve social inclusion, and empower atheists and other nonreligious people through advocacy, education, and community building.

We envisions a country in which public policy is made using the best evidence we have rather than religious dogma and where religious beliefs are no longer seen as an excuse for bigotry or cause to receive special treatment from the government.

Registered in February 17, 2016, we are the first and only atheist organisation in Kenya.
